Motorola to acquire public-safety records-management firm

Motorola said this week that it has agreed to acquire CRISNET, Inc., a privately-held developer of advanced records management and related systems for criminal justice and public safety customers. The acquisition must be approved by CRISNET’s shareholders, but is expected to close before the end of the year, Motorola said. The acquisition, which is subject to CRISNET’s shareholder approvals and other customary closing conditions, is expected to close this year. Additional financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
