Wireless Matrix releases mobile hotspot Wireless Matrix released its Communicator 1000 mobile hotspot that integrates 3G cellular, GPS and wireless LAN technologies into a single vehicle-mounted platform. It is certified for Verizon Wireless’ EvDO Rev-A and AT&T’s HSUPA networks. It combines cellular service with Super G 802.11b/g wireless LAN technology for secure WLAN communications while a 50-channel GPS receiver provides rapid, accurate vehicle position, according to the company.
