Midian adds encoder, voice scrambler

Midian Electronics unveiled during IWCE 2008 in Las Vegas last week the ANI-F series of plug-in encoders that supports Kenwood’s FleetSync messaging protocol, said Michael Soulliard, the company’s vice president of sales and marketing. In addition the device also supports MDC-1200, G Star, DTMF and 5-tone signaling. Plug-ins currently are available for Icom, Kenwood, Maxon and Vertex radios, Soulliard said. The company also introduced the VS-1200 digital signal processor-based, frequency domain voice scrambler.
